Birthday morning
He got to open his presents before breakfast. I adore his face of sleepiness and happiness at the same time. A precious moment.

I meant to post these pictures from February. When we got the third snow fall of the winter, the kids ended up not going to school. I was surprised the school didn’t call for a snow day, but our neighbor got stuck in our long drive way for an hour and we still couldn’t clear the way for any of us to leave, I called it a snow day, especially since it was only a half day anyway. Needless to say, the kids were excited. We thought that we had a great idea using boogie boards to sled down the ramp to our underground garage since we didn’t have sleds…. well, they didn’t slide, nope, not even an inch. Kids ditched the boogie boards and started rolling down the ramp. They had a blast. No hill, no open space..you’ve got to be a little creative living in a city sometimes 🙂

I wrote that Spring was finally coming and the sun had started shining in the last portrait. Well, back to raining and cold here in Northern Italy right after that post. The kids were back in the house playing and they made a fort out of our dining chairs. You would think that it wouldn’t be comfortable, but they stayed in there for a good hour, and the fort was up for a few days.
